Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Sprint works best for independent consultants and fractional executives who have genuine experience behind them — typically 5+ years in their domain (including in-house), a few client engagements under their belt, and real expertise that prospects aren't fully grasping yet.

You don't need to have your positioning perfectly figured out. In fact, if you did, you probably wouldn't need me.

What matters more is that you're committed to your consulting practice, open to narrowing and sharpening your message, and ready to deploy the assets regularly once we build them.

The Sprint is probably not the right fit if you're still figuring out the basics of what you do, if you're consulting casually on the side without plans to grow it, or if what you really want is ongoing business coaching rather than a focused, deliverable-driven engagement.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, book an exploratory call anyway. I'll tell you honestly.

  • You'll walk away with a portfolio of five publish-ready "Intellectual Headshots" — eye-catching and thought-provoking visual metaphors and frameworks that articulate your clients’ pain, your point of view, your approach, and the unique value you bring to clients.

Each one comes with a talk track so you know exactly how to use it in a sales conversation, a podcast appearance, a LinkedIn post, or a referral conversation.

These aren't “pretty slides” for the sake of it — they're working IP assets designed to demonstrate your unique value clearly, without the rambling monologue.

  • Ah, yes - the elephant in the room!

In short, you can try. AI is good at opening cans of worms and filling in templates.

What AI can't do is identify the truly load-bearing insights earned over your vast career — the ones that actually make your point of view distinct from everyone else in your space.

That type of excavation and discovery takes someone who can listen carefully, push back thoughtfully, and make judgment calls about what to keep and what to cut.

The visuals are the output. The extraction and distillation is the real work we do together.

And as for the visual design, I create your Headshots myself, based on my own very human visual instincts and skillset, ensuring your visual assets won’t look like anyone else’s, or worse, have that “this was made in ChatGPT/Canva” look.

  • Less than you might think.

The Sprint involves three 75-minute 1:1 working sessions with me.

Between each session, plan for about an hour to review the draft designs and leave your comments.

That's roughly 5–6 hours of your time across two weeks - most of which is collaborative and energizing rather than homework-heavy.

  • 10 days from our first session. The Sprint runs across two focused weeks, and by Friday of the second week your final assets are in your hands and ready to use.

We’ll also set up a sync ~4 weeks after our Sprint to see how your Headshots are landing in the market.

I offer a round of post-Sprint Headshot revisions free of charge.

  • Good question, and worth thinking through honestly.

A new website makes your existing message look better. If the message itself is fuzzy, a nicer website just presents the confusion more attractively.

A branding or copywriting engagement can sharpen your words, but rarely produces visual assets that compress your thinking into something a prospect can grasp in seconds.

DIY design or “personal brand” courses teach you concepts but leave the hardest part — applying them to your specific expertise — entirely to you. Most sit unfinished.

Business coaching builds your strategic mindset and confidence over time — but it rarely produces the tangible tools that build your authority and your clients’ trust. Many of my clients have had great coaches, and I have as well. This Sprint gives you concrete assets to build traction in the market right away.

The Headshots Sprint isn't a replacement for any of these.

But if you've tried one or more of them and still feel like your expertise isn't landing the way it should, the Sprint is likely the missing piece, because it produces the artifacts, not just the insight.

  • Start with a free exploratory call — just book a time on my calendar. They’re 45 minutes intentionally, giving us enough room to talk about your domain, needs and questions about the process and output.

If it’s a good fit, I typically have Sprint start dates available within 2–3 weeks.

You'll choose the Monday start that works for you and complete payment (installments available).

Then, I'll send you a brief intake worksheet to complete beforehand, and we'll schedule a short kickoff call the week before your start date to review your worksheet together and get you oriented before our first working session.
